·        STROKE – CAROTID ULTRASOUND SCAN

“Looks” inside the carotid arteries to detect early signs of soft and hard plaque build-up.

·        STROKE – CAROTID DOPPLER BLOOD FLOW ANALYSIS

Sound waves listen to the blood flow in your carotid arteries to check if there is reduced circulation to the brain.

·        HEART ATTACK – ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

This 2 dimensional image of your heart “looks” at your heart, its muscles, valves and its chambers for fatty deposits and other abnormalities which cause heart failure.  This test uses ultrasound to “look” and detect potential or existing heart problems caused by coronary artery disease or heart attack.

·        HEART M-MODE (Measures the motion of your heart)

Determines the size of your heart, thickness of the heart muscles and any enlargements of the heart chambers.

·        ARM & LEG ARTERIAL DOPPLER

Sound waves “listen” to the blood flow in the arteries which carry the blood from the heart to the hands and feet. This test can also give early indications of Adult Diabetes.

·        LEG VENOUS DOPPLER BLOOD FLOW

Checks the blood flow in the leg veins, which carry the blood back to the heart.

·        DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS

This test checks for blood clots in the large veins in the legs (phlebitis).  Left undetected, these clots may dislodge, travel from the legs to the lungs or heart causing death.
